Each will attend a German Gymnasium (Secondary School) for 8 weeks in the 2008/9 academic year and live with a German host family as part of their travel award.

Foroige / EIL Travel Award to South Africa
4 young people and 2 youth leaders from The Beara Foroige Youth Project and from The Bandon Foroige Youth Project spent 3 weeks as volunteers in a creche in Mamre just outside Cape Town during June/July.

EIL Travel Awards
Travel Awards are available on an annual basis. Most awards are fully funded including flights, insurance, all activities and food and accommodation. In a smaller number of cases awards are partially funded with the participant also contributing part of the costs. Details of the 2009 Travel Awards will be available in December 2008.
