Volunteering in Barra De Potosi

A German EIL volunteer outside the library of Barra De Potosi, Guerrero, Mexico. Barra De Potosi is a small fishing village near the Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo beach resort. The community has come together to try to avoid being swamped by developers and and investors looking to exploit it's location. "Niños Encantados de la Barra de Potosi", (Charmed Kids of Barra de Potosi) provides oportunities for the village children, but also acts as a centre for the community to help raise awareness and pride in their traditions.
