German life

Hallo! Gutentag!

It is exactly two weeks since I have arrived in Germany. I am very settled in school, though I still struggle at most subjects apart from  bilingual english, history and geography. I get some homework but I don't have to do a lot of things as I wouldn't be able to! I take down every word I hear nad understand and also from work sheets translate it. I take down words I don't know and find out later in the dictionary what they mean. We are studying the renaissance in Art history at the moment. Der Himmel is a word that comes up very often meaning heaven/sky. The weather is lovely compared to Ireland here in Löhndorf village. Although it is raining at the moment! Usually very rarely it rains! I am having a great time in Germany. Last saturday I went  with some friends to see fireworks on the river Rhine to celebrate the 1st of May. They have this twice a year in Germany. It was absolutely spectacular! I am taking loads of pictures so I can treasure them when I  am home.  My confidence has grown even a little in the past two weeks.  Hopefully with every day my german vocabularly and grammer gets better. Sometimes it is very hard to understand what people are saying because they speak so fast! But hopefully I will get the hang of it soon. I do miss everyone at home but I will see them soon enough! Love ye all!

Until my next blog!

Tschüss für jetzt! Bis später! (Bye for now! 'Til later!)
