Nigeria

Energy,Colour, Life, what a great place Nigeria is. The first week has had everything from mad taxi journeys, live goats being fed to lions, to a church service this morning that was like a disco there was so much jiving going on. The taxis are mad, everyone just piles in, the doors just about close in and then it's whatever driver blinks first.Myself and Noel did a tour of Ibadan yesterday and in the Zoo every three days they feed live goats to the Lions, it was quite a spectacle. I was only half awake at 8.30 this morning but by 9.00 I was dancing, and singing and swaying in the Pentecost Church, followed by a rousing ceremony by the Pastor, it was some experience. Noel and myself are getting used to the tag of local eyinbo or whiteman now, you'd feel like Bill Clinton walking down the street, so much armwaving, the people are incredibly friendly and hospitable. The markets are full of colour and our two guides Ester and God's Will have us trained in the art of serious haggling. I move to Ilesa to meet start work in the HIV/Aids care centre tomorrow and I'm looking forward to meeting up with Karen
