Street Action April 2009, Trinity College, Dublin: Following a workshop on Trade Justice, EIL members are conducting a survey on people's shopping habits and trade issues in Dublin.During the last Network weekend, EIL members participated in a workshop on "Working for Trade Justice and Fairtrade" facilitated by Orla Quinn, Education Officer with Trocaire.The workshop helped EIL members appreciate the need to examine the impact of  policies, political and economic decisions made in one country or region on people in another country.

 

Street Action April 2009;O' Connell Street, Dublin: Following a workshop on Trade Justice, EIL members are conducting a survey on people's shopping habits and trade issues in Dublin.

Following this workshop, EIL members took action by conducting a survey with people they met in the street of Dublin city centre. The purpose of the survey was to find out the shopping habits of people as well as informing people on some trade issues.

Network Weekend

I was at the weekend and we had great fun stopping people on the street to ask questions! We had good reactions...and bad! But overall people were quite helpful and it felt really useful to act on what we had learned in our morning workshop! I can't wait to hear the results of the survey!
