look at the fake Oyinbo!
Hello everyone
Welcome to this weeks blog!
So this week I got to meet up with Karen and Barry again they invited me to a party and I have to admit it was a lot of fun the party hosts treated us like royalty they cooked us really nice food jollof rice and meat, and they gave us beer and other drinks all day long. We also got to play a lot of party games like Simon says and musical statuses. Then the next day we visited Olumo rock it is about a 2hr drive from Ibadan and that is were our tour guide told us all about the sacrifices that are preformed there to please the gods. The kill a big black cow on the 5th of august every year. We also seen a lot of Asian people at Olumo rock and that’s when our tour guide started to shout at me Oyinbo look, look at the fake Oyinbo, they are only fake white. I could do nothing but laugh. Also this week Claire for New York move to Akobo so I have a new neighbor so that fun as being the only white person in Akobo is very exhausting all the attention you get its nice for a while but then you face hurts from smiling at everyone.
This week in Chiprom we had a party for four of our children it was great fun and the children loved it, Eva however this week was sick with malaria so she was unable to attend the party. We were panicking about her having malaria and didn’t know what to think but Nigerians were like are you still sick it’s been two days and its only malaria. But after seeing her suffering I am glad I have not even been bitten by a mosquito yet. I am really loving Nigeria and having a lot of fun here.
