Global Views, Local Voices 2011
Global Views, Local Voices is a seminar promoting the value of diversity and interculturalism in development education with young people. This half-day seminar will cover an introduction to development education, intercultural work, and two good practice youth work examples of development education in an intercultural group. The seminar will also explore positive ways for youth organisations and minority ethnic communities to collaborate in youth work and development education.
The events take place as follows:
Tuesday, 22 March, Castleblaney, Co. Monaghan (Iontas Centre) from 10.15am to 2.00pm. This event is co-facilitated by Development Perspectives.
Monday, 28 March, Galway City (Jigsaw premises, Fairgreen Road) from 5.00pm to 9.00pm. This event is co-facilitated by Son Gyoh.
Friday, 1 April, Kilkenny City (Ossory Youth) from 10.15am to 2.00pm. This event is co-facilitated by Dorothy, Waterford One World Centre.
