NYCI is running a training on Tackling Racism Homophobia and Sexism in Cork City on the 15th March:
This course will help participants to understand stereotyping, discrimination and prejudice and how they relate to racism, homophobia and sexism. It will help participants identify racism, homophobia and sexism and will present methods for tackling them.
 
Course fee: €50
 
Learning content
•         Understand racism, homophobia and sexism.
•         Explore the role of reflective practice in identifying racism, homophobia or sexism.
•         Develop strategies for tackling racism, homophobia and sexism in youth work settings.
•         Help young people to reflect on and understand the source of their attitudes and prejudices.
•         Address myths that are discriminatory.
 
This course will be delivered jointly by NYCI and Youthnet (NI)
