Sharing my story
A workshop aimed at enhancing the ability of participants to present their experiences of volunteering or studying abroad to a variety of audiences. New dates coming soon!
Facilitating a Volunteer Pre-departure Workshop
This workshop trains past participants in the methods and techniques of preparing people to volunteer abroad, outlining the different kind of sessions and support materials used for the workshop. New dates coming soon!
Media skills
Facilitated by a media expert this workshop is aimed at giving volunteers and returned participants the basic tools for dealing with media, the dos and don’ts, guidence on how to write a press release and how to get an interview with the media.
Campaigning and awareness raising skills
This workshop is facilitated by a campaign expert and is aimed at exploring how the volunteer experience can be used as a tool for an effective campaign. The workshop covers topics including media, social networking, awareness raising planning and ideas. The next workshop will be held on the 24th of September 2010.
