If you are a young person or student who has an active interest in world affairs and think that you would benefit from a challenging adventure in another culture then one of these awards could be for you. This year we are offering 14 fully funded awards where EIL covers all the programme costs and 8 partially funded awards where most of the programme costs are funded by EIL.

Join us at the next Network Weekend on the 21st and 22nd November in Cork!

The Network weekend is a great opportunity to meet other EIL members and staff, become more informed about global Issues and have some fun! Workshops and fun activities will take place to raise awareness about Global Justice Issues. Everybody is welcome!!

The Travel Awards Winner 2009 will meet together with EIL Staff and members for an orientation day prior their departure.

The orientation day aims to prepare the participants for their intercultural experience. It is an opportunity for sharing ideas and learning from other's experience.

The EIL Network week-end brings together returned participants, volunteers, board members and staff for two days of activities. On Saturday winners of the EIL Travel Awards for 2009 will be selected. On Sunday workshops and fun activities will take place to raise awareness about Global Justice Issues. Everybody is welcome!!

Four fully funded bursaries are available to young people attending a DEIS School or a Youthreach Project to participate in The Hong Kong/Ireland Youth Exchange in 2009. For more information on this Travel Award please see: DEIS / Youthreach.

Two Awards are available to young people enrolled in a University or IT Access Programme and who wish to participate in a 2 – 3 month summer volunteer programme. For more information on this award please see: ACCESS.
