Cap D' Ail
Summer Residence Camp for Teenagers |
|
Introduction
This programme is organised in collaboration with “The
Centre Méditerranéen d’Etudes Française” (CMEF)
at Cap d’Ail (Provence) on the French Riviera. The CMEF is
situated in a beautiful 10 acre park facing the Mediterranean Sea
and is located alongside the village of Cap d’Ail, a small
village of 5,000 inhabitants in the heart of the French Riviera,
just 2 km from Monaco and 15 km from Nice.
There are 15 hours of compulsory classes per week plus
use of the language laboratory, computer facilities and extensive
library. All teachers are University Graduates who specialise in
the teaching of French as a foreign language. A programme of sporting
and recreational activities is co-ordinated by a team of trained
youth leaders who live in the centre alongside the students. There
are five half days of organised sporting activities each week including
team sports (volleyball, basketball or football), tennis and swimming.
Specialised instruction is also provided in windsurfing and archery.
There is one organised excursion per week to places such as Monaco,
Nice or Cannes. Evening activities include films, debates, drama,
concerts, games, theatre and table tennis tournaments.
This is a multi-national centre with students from
all over the world and French will be the spoken language at all
times. The programme includes tuition, and full board accommodation.
Airport and train pick-ups can be arranged on request. The Centre
Méditerranéen organises dynamic French courses for
teenagers with cultural and sport activities, to combine learning
and entertainment.

help them to adjust and solve any problems they may have in adapting
to life in the Centre while conscientiously overseeing all their
activities.
The teachers are University graduates, specialising in the teaching
