Activities
Our school in Lindenberg has such a vast array of facilities that are generally the highlight of students' stays. Facilities include an auditorium with its own stage, a party room, an Internet room, arts and crafts rooms, a workshop, pool tables, darts, foosball, a large grill, a huge playing field and sunbathing area, several balconies (some of which are covered), and even a sauna. Regardless of the weather, students can always have fun after class.
Student athletes will find nearly everything here that their hearts desire: volleyball, basketball, handball, badminton and ping-pong can be played both indoors and outdoors; soccer can be played on a large natural playing field or an artificially surfaced field. Our centre includes its own indoor swimming pool with a view of the Alps, a miniature golf course, and provides mountain bikes for long rides through the magnificent surroundings.
The school provides a number of sports and recreational opportunities, such as movies, an outdoor swimming pool near the Waldsee, an ice rink, summer curling sheets, etc.
Students participate in organised excursions to places like Lindau, Meersburg, Constance, Munich and Bregenz (Austria), to the famous Neuschwanstein and Linderhof castles, to nearby mountain peaks and to many local towns of cultural or scenic interest.
An extensive network of trails is available in the winter for cross-country skiing, and, of course, the school also organises outings to the mountains for downhill skiing. Students interested in skiing lessons can book this additional activity through EIL. The price includes 1 week of lessons and a lift ticket. Also available for a supplemental fee are hip-hop dance lessons (summer only). Please ask for availability and prices when booking. All include 24-hour reliable supervision.

Answers
How do I contact my child during his/her stay?
The best time to contact your children during the course is either at lunch time (1 pm) or at dinner time (6 pm). Approximately four weeks prior to the beginning of the language course you will receive detailed information about the course itself. We then will inform you about the exact postal address and the phone number you may use to call your children while they are abroad. Please accept that we can only disturb lessons in matters of real urgency.
When do should I arrive and depart for my course?
Airport transfers are included in the programme fees for Friedrichshafen airport. Arrival to all of our courses is on the Sunday before the classes start and departure is on the Saturday after classes finish. Should you need to arrive or depart a day earlier or later, please let us know at the time of booking. Each extra night at the centre is €45. Centre stafff wait at airport arrivals holding a sign with the school's name on it. Please note that this service might be shared with other students. In order to organise transfers we need to know all flight details at least 2 weeks in advance of arrival.
How do I get there?
Lufthansa offers a connecting service to Friedrichshafen Airport from Dublin Airport via Frankfurt. Alternatively, pick-ups from other airports in Germany such as Memmingen, Munich and Zurich can be arranged at an additional cost.
Are their laundry facilities?
Students' laundry is attended to by members of staff each week. Please make sure students' clothes are clearly labeled and that no delicate items are brought.
Can I go with friends?
If two friends would like to go together, this can be facilitated. Please note, however, that two students of the same nationality will not be placed in the same room or with the same host family. This is to maximize the learning experience for all participants. There will be plenty of time for friends to socialise regardless of whether or not they share a room.
Can I stay with a host family?
Yes, on special request, we can place you with a host family in Lindenberg. You will still be included in all lessons, activities and excursions, but will return to your host family after scheduled activities have finished
