An Overview of my Experience as a GAP Participant in South Africa

Orientation  Arriving in South Africa was daunting; I honestly didn’t have a clue what to do really. But as I met the other volunteers on my orientation group I started to relax. The orientation week was a great way to see how truly beautiful South Africa’s landscape is and it allowed us to grasp a glimpse into the various different aspects of South African culture from it’s animals and wildlife to it’s scenery, history and enterprise.

Final call for Hong Kong and Secondary School in Germany Scholarship EIL Travel Awards!

Tomorrow (5pm 30th April 2010) is the deadline for the remaining two EIL Travel Awards: Ireland-Hong Kong exchange and and the Secondary School in Germany Scholarship. As with all the Awards anyone can apply, even if you've applied to others this year. You can download application forms form our website and as long as they're post marked and sent to us before 5pm tomorrow we can accept them. EIL Travel Awards 2010: deadline this Friday and new awards!

The deadline for applications to the main group of EIL Travel Awards is this Friday (5pm 26th March). There's still time to get your application to us and there's a further group of Awards with deadlines in late April which you can apply to too. This later group includes two late additions to this years Awards: the opportunity to go to school and live with a family in Germany and the chance to be nominated for a scholarship to spend three months volunteering in Argentina.

EIL Intercultural Learning are pleased to announce the launch of the 2010 Travel Awards.

Are you someone, or do you do you know somebody who would benefit from a challenging adventure in another culture? If the the answer is yes then you are invited to apply or to encourage somebody to apply for one of the 31 full or partially funded awards available this year including exciting locations such as Japan, Ecuador, Mexico, Argentina, Hong Kong or Nigeria amongst others.
