I still find it crazy to think I am one of the four taking part in the Global Awareness Programme yet here I am packing the last of my bits and pieces and saying goodbyes. Winning this award has already had such an amazing positive impact on me. Danielle and I are going to South Africa while Aine and Ciara will be taking on Nigeria.

If you are a young person or student who has an active interest in world affairs and think that you would benefit from a challenging adventure in another culture then one of these awards could be for you. This year we are offering 14 fully funded awards where EIL covers all the programme costs and 8 partially funded awards where most of the programme costs are funded by EIL.

Information Night hosted by The International Development Society with EIL programme co-ordinator Caterina Totaro and past Award Winners.

Vermont Travel Award 2010 : Where to begin?

Where do I begin?  12 days of absolute bliss in the Green Mountain State, more commonly known to all as Vermont. As we began our “Mock Congress” on Day 1 of the programme, I knew it was going to be a remarkable and fascinating 12 days!

Final call for Hong Kong and Secondary School in Germany Scholarship EIL Travel Awards!

Tomorrow (5pm 30th April 2010) is the deadline for the remaining two EIL Travel Awards: Ireland-Hong Kong exchange and and the Secondary School in Germany Scholarship. As with all the Awards anyone can apply, even if you've applied to others this year. You can download application forms form our website and as long as they're post marked and sent to us before 5pm tomorrow we can accept them. Full details on how to apply are available on our website.
