I am so happy to have won this trip. I was really not sure if I was good enough to get through, so much of the other nominees where I felt more suited for this trip than me but I obviously most of come across better than I thought. I am really excited and trying now to sort all the stuff I may need to bring.
I am trying at the moment to find out as much as possible internet about the event and Vermont itself. I am doing the leaving cert this year and a trip such as this at the end will be such a welcome break to the pressure we are under at the moment.
It will be great to learn about the issues facing the young people of Vermont but also the wider world as well. I have worked at lot on issues facing the young people here in Ireland. I hope to learn new ways to face these issues. I also hope to give this group of young people any advice I can offer from my experience.
I would like to thank everyone that has made this trip possible. It is a great opportunity that I hope to make the most out of .
