With more than two decades of democratic stability and a robust economy, Ghana has emerged as a leader in Sub-Saharan Africa. Yet despite Ghana’s relative prosperity poverty remains pervasive. Volunteers can contribute to community projects while gaining a real understanding of the country and its culture.

Often referred to as 'the world in one country', South Africa is a land of extraordinary beauty, magnificent wildlife and rich cultural diversity. Volunteering in South Africa gives participants a first hand experience of a new nation working towards a vision of unity and prosperity.

Whether it is the excitement and energy of Bangkok or the beautiful beaches and islands dotted around the coast, Thailand has long held a draw for travelers to South East Asia. Volunteers can work with ethnic minority groups, refugees or with people with special needs.

Guatemala is a country steeped in history and traditions. Once the centre of the great Maya civilisation, it contains a wealth of archaeological treasures. Volunteers can contribute their time and energy to meaningful projects, while gaining a real understanding of the country and its culture.

Peru is a growing country, but there are still many living in poverty. Spend some time in Peru in one of our volunteer programmes, and you will get to know the cultural richness of the country while volunteering in a local project supporting people from a disadvantaged background.

Multicultural Brazil, a vast country of rainforests, shanty towns, football matches and Carnival, is also the only Portuguese-speaking country in the Americas. Volunteers can make a difference by working with schools and non-governmental organisations throughout the country.

Argentina has long held a romantic draw for travelers, with its vibrant culture, cosmopolitan cities and stunning scenery. Volunteers work in some of the most interesting and attractive locations in the country in schools and community-based organisations.

Just 12 miles from Spain, the Kingdom of Morocco is a meeting of two worlds. A land of spices, deserts, Casbahs and medinas; its culture draws on a unique mix of Berber, Arab, African, French (widely spoken) and Spanish influences. Volunteers have a unique opportunity to work on rewarding projects throughout the country.

This short term programme offers a meaningful experience to people with limited time. Volunteer activities mainly involve physical hands on labour in order to improve the level of facilities available for local communities in Himachal and Rajasthan. The programme also includes exciting and varied cultural excursions and learning experiences.

Targeted towards students and graduates interested in gaining knowlege and hands on experience in areas related to architecture, graphic design, architecture and hospitality, an internship in China offers meaningful work experience.

If you want to live and work alongside Indian people as an individual volunteer this programme is for you! Placements are available in projects in various locations around India, including Dehli, Mumbay (Bombay), Ahmedabad, Patna (Bihar), Dehradun (Uttaranchal) and Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh).

Join a team of volunteers or start your own and to contribute to the development of a disadvantaged afro ecuadorian community located in the tropical region of Puerto Quito. For two weeks you will live and work alongside local people and learn more about their culture and the challenges they are facing.
