How do I apply?

Applying for the Volunteer Abroad programme is a straight forward process: after receiving your application and CV we will contact you to find out more about your interests and motivation for wanting to be a volunteer. We then send your information to our colleagues in the country of your choice and they make your placement. As soon as they confirm a suitable placement for you, we will send you all the information necessary to finalise your preparations. Although some countries can accept late applications, you should send your completed application 12 weeks in advance. The earlier you apply, the more time we have to find the most suitable project for you.

Step 1: Application form

In order to proceed with your application you will need to complete the application form: Word / PDF.

The earlier you apply the better your chances of getting your first choice of placement. Along with the application, you should enclose the following:

  • 2 recent passport sized photographs
  • An up to date CV
  • A deposit of €250

Step 2: Telephone Consultation

Within 5 working days of receiving your completed application form we will contact you to arrange an informal telephone/face to face chat to discuss all aspects of your application, to explain the particular features of the volunteer programme and answer any remaining questions which you may have. This will be an opportunity for us to get to know you a little better and to make the best possible placement for you. Of course it is also an opportunity for you to find out more about us.

Step 3: Formal Acceptance within 10 days of consultation

Within 10 working days of this chat we will formally confirm your acceptance or not on the programme. If you are not accepted, we will return your deposit. Prior to departure you will receive full details of your volunteer placement and accommodation, along with an orientation pack and resources for your chosen country.

So there is no time to loose. Start working on your application now and let the adventure begin. Remember to feel free to get in touch with us if you need assistance with the application process or if you need any more information.
