Letter from Ms. Elif Kaba
Ms. Elif Kaba hosted Ms. Mary Reilly for one month, while Mary worked for two volunteer projects. Her host sister Elif writes:
We loved Mary very much and we accept her as a family member. My home in Istanbul but we travelled together and visited my parent's house during our festival (Bayram) time. My nieces are still waiting her in every year.
My hometown Golcuk, Izmit is by the Marmara Sea and very close to Istanbul. At the festival time we got in the ship we visited all seaside in Istanbul and in my hometown. We walked and chatted sure little bit gossiping. We visited my friends house and my friends visited our house. Mary tried to cook Turkish coffee and did it perfect, it was really delicious. Mary liked cooking for me, just for me because some evennings I went to the Chinese Language course, so it was nice to find home cook meal afterwrds. I liked Irish meals very much. We spoke in Turkish and English and tried to teach each other too.
She was my family member and I missed her all the time. I am waiting the other guests from your country all the time.
