EIL Intercultural Learning wish to appoint a COORDINATOR to lead the GLOBAL CITIZEN AWARD www.globalcitizenaward.ie
Do you have the outlook of a social entrepreneur? Are you a self-starter? Are you tenacious and have bags of initiative? If you can answer “YES” to more than one of these questions then this could be the perfect opportunity for you to stand out and take a really exciting project to the next level!
THE GLOBAL CITIZEN AWARD: is an initiative of EIL Intercultural Learning in association with 23 of Ireland’s leading Volunteer Sending Agencies (VSAs) in Ireland. The Award scheme is supported with financial aid from The Development Education Grant Scheme of Irish Aid. Comhlámh, IDEA and Dóchas are also actively supportive of The Awards.
The objective is to engage returned international volunteers across all Irish VSAs to become development education multipliers and advocates for global justice in Ireland.
There are three awards; Bronze, Silver and Gold – each tailored to the motivation of the individual volunteer. Each award represents an increasing level of engagement in awareness raising activities around development education / global education issues. To date 140 returned international volunteers have received Awards or are on the journey towards certification.
EIL INTERCULTURAL LEARNING is an Irish “not for profit” organisation that provides intercultural learning opportunities through study abroad, volunteer abroad, language training, travel awards, group educational programmes, and other cultural immersion activities for over 1,500 people each year.

EIL is a not for profit, non religious and non political organisation with Consultative Status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council and the Council of Europe. In 1989 EIL was designated a Peace Messenger Organisation by the Secretary General of the United Nations.
