Black holes and Revelations

So this may well be my last blog post in Japan, only 9 days to go and I may not get online before then. I thought I would just make a summing up blog and so forth, I`ll make another when I return from Japan of course, but not so bad, does anyone even read this? I sure hope so.
So I have titled my blog post due to the revelation I had when the grandmother of the house I`m staying at took out an atlas to better locate ireland. Now I`m well aware Ireland is one of the most insignificant countries in existence (contrary to the popular belief we are the centre of the universe) but thats not what struck me, In this atlas Japan is at the centre of the world, North and South America to the east and Ireland to the far west, only Iceland is further west. So from where I live I was going to Japan, a nation to the far east from my perspective, but of course Ireland is an equally exotic and far away western country to Japanese people, thats what really hit me. Our world is such a small place but its easy to forget about all the billions of people living everywhere, when you try to ponder what someone in indonasia or Kenya is doing today it actually overwhelms the mind. Just billions of people in far off places that are the centre of their worlds living out their lives.
When I met the chino CITY MAYOR (OKAY ITS IN CAPS LOCK NOW SORRY CAN`T FIX IT AAAGH TECHNOLOGY, JUST IMAGINE i`M SHOUTING AT YOU) HE SAID I HAD TO BE THE BRIDGE BETWEEN THE COUNTRIES OF IRELAND AND JAPAN IN THE FUTURE, IN JUST THE LITTLE THINGS I DO IN LIFE I MUST TRY AND MERGE OUR CULTURES IN UNDERSTANDING. THIS IS HARD.
So, this week I celebrated my 18th birthday in Japan and it was great!! I really enjoyed everything about it and I got loads of gifts of chocolate (people know how much I love it) and had some sake. It was nice. I went to the onsen again because it reminds me of ancient Greece and Roman bathhouses. Pro tip you can turn your shower really cold and spray the guy showering next to you. Nobody ever expects it.
My family gifted me a shamisen, I'm so thrilled about this. This has been a long time dream to actually own a shamisen and now I do!! Happines. It's so hard to tune though. Finally I can cover all my favourite Yoshida brothers songs. Sweeeeet!!!!
See ya maybe again before I come home.
