Summer Language School

The Italian language camp is run by professional Italian teachers and educational tourism coordinators with over 25 combined years of experience in language education.

Its young team of professionals have first-hand experience of learning a foreign language and studying or working abroad. The team is also responsive and flexible to students' individual needs. More than 15,000 students and professionals have completed courses with our Italian partners; in fact more than 30% of participants return again for further study.

Highly Qualified Native Italian Teachers

All lessons are taught by highly qualified, native Italian teachers, while other staff members run the sports and leisure programmes, so the teachers' attention is focused on the language course only.

  • What is the weather like in Lignano?

The temperature in Lignano varies between 25 and 35 C in the summer. Sometimes is gets cooler at night, but it rarely falls under 20 C. Sometimes it rains with quick thunderstorms, but they are short, last about 2 hours and the sun usually comes out shortly after. Italian summers can get quite hot and rooms are unfortunately not air conditioned. Some students bring or buy a fan for their rooms, but they cannot be provided by the holiday village.  Also, due to the hot and humid environment, there are many mosquitos.  Students are required to bring adequate sun cream and bug repellant.

Supervised Italian Language Programme for Students

We make every effort to ensure that we satisfy the concerns of parents regarding the personal safety and supervision of their children:

  • The 60 hectares of private premises are fully enclosed and patrolled by professional security 24 hours per day.
  • Camp staff provide 24-hour supervision (staff/student ratio of 1:7).
  • There is 24-hour healthcare on site.
  • Lifeguards are on duty at all pools and on the beach during the applicable hours.
  • Medical insurance is included in the price.

Students are not allowed to leave the village unsupervised unless their parents send written consent prior to arrival. Where parents have authorised their child to leave the village alone, students will be expected to liaise with staff to keep them informed of their whereabouts and to agree on a time to be back in the village.

Students who do not adhere to the rules of the camp, who are disrespectful to staff, or who are a danger to themselves or other students may be dismissed from the programme. Should this occur, parents are required to repatriate their child within 24 hours at their own expense.
