Ghana: Interview with Brian Hughes from Dungarvan

Brian Hughes, a Cork School of Music student from Dungarvan Co.Waterford, traveled to Ghana with EIL in June 2014 for 8 weeks. He volunteered and worked with local children sharing his passion and skills for music. We interviewed Brian just after he arrived back in Ireland.

"Since coming back and hearing about the International Volunteer Award, I want to try and go for the Gold Award" Brian tells us, as he is inspired to get more involved in everything since his return. He will try to volunteer locally as well as taking action in his own community to raise awareness about global issues.

He is already halfway there as he has kept us engaged with his articles during his time in Ghana. He traveled to the internet cafe once a week to keep us, his friends and his family updated!
