The EIL Explore Irish Language, Culture and Belonging Scholarship Award provides a fully funded three-week residential Gaeltacht experience. Develop your Gaeilge while discovering Irish culture through community life, activities and new friendships.
Use Irish through culture and community
Music, sport and cultural activities give participants opportunities to develop their Irish-language skills beyond classroom learning. Taking part in Gaeltacht life can help you grow more confident in communicating and connecting with others.
Explore culture and belonging
The award creates space to discover Irish language and culture while reflecting on your own connection to life in Ireland. It particularly encourages applications from New Irish and underrepresented young people, including those who may face barriers to international travel.
