The EIL Explore International Language Award gives young people an opportunity to practise a language where it is used every day. The scholarship combines structured language learning with cultural immersion, helping participants build confidence beyond the classroom.

Learn through lessons and everyday conversations

Depending on the programme, you could attend language classes, join cultural workshops and excursions, meet local and international young people or experience school life. Everyday conversations give you opportunities to use what you learn and become more comfortable communicating.

Choose an experience that fits your language goals

Programmes may suit students developing a language they already study or those interested in beginning a new one. You do not necessarily need to be fluent, but individual programmes may have language-level requirements.

Who this scholarship is for

We are looking for curious, motivated young people who are willing to engage with both the language and the culture of their destination. Explain your learning goals and why you want to use a language in everyday situations.
