THE OPPORTUNITY
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated professional to join EIL/AFS Ireland’s Programmes Team as a Student Support Coordinator. In this rewarding, people-centred role, you will support international exchange students and scholarship participants across our Study Abroad and Global Citizenship departments. You will work closely with students, host families, coordinators and international partners to ensure a high-quality, person-focused experience for all participants.
As part of the Programmes Team, your duties may change from time to time to meet the organisation’s needs, offering variety and scope for professional growth. This is a full-time, permanent position with a hybrid work arrangement (minimum three days per week in our Cork office). Immediate interviews and hiring – apply today!

What you will do
- Provide day-to-day guidance and wellbeing support to international students and scholarship participants
- Liaise with schools, host families, local coordinators and international partners
- Manage applications, placement logistics and Garda vetting forms
- Coordinate orientations, training sessions and Global Citizenship events
- Respond calmly and professionally to issues or emergencies
- Support ongoing programme development and training initiatives
- Adapt to changing priorities within the Programmes Team according to organisational needs
What you will bring
- A degree or equivalent experience in social care, youth work or education
- Minimum two years’ experience in youth engagement, student support or intercultural learning

- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and maintain accuracy under pressure
- Proficiency in Excel and data management (Salesforce experience desirable)
